As locals we have visited Max’a at Snowvillage Inn many times and often enjoyed the food and experience. Tonight they knocked it out of the park! Our server Natalie was knowledgeable and personable beyond what most waitstaff offer!! We had the Oysters, Wedge Salad and Charcuterie and they were all well executed! But the Pistachio Crusted Halibut special was beyond perfect. Cooked to perfection with the right amount of t of seasoning and accompaniments. Thank you Natalie and Chef Josh!
Highly, highly recommend! We spent a night here and felt so welcomed. The cozy rooms, beautiful views, and the restaurant were absolutely wonderful. In the perfect location for scenic hikes, too. I would definitely go to the restaurant at the inn instead of traveling elsewhere. Amazing service and great food. While leaving, I accidentally left my necklace in the room and the staff did everything to get it back to me, sending it to my house within a week(: so happy with our stay and we will be back!
We had a wonderful supper at Max's. My duck and garlic potatoes were cooked to perfection. My companion was delighted with his choice, as well. The atmosphere was welcoming. There are gorgeous views from both the dining area and inn. Lizzy did amazing serving our table. Fabulous place to visit and to dine at.
Had dinner reservations, seated promptly, great atmosphere and people, owner was very nice and our waitress was excellent. Food was delicious and perfectly prepared. The venison was delicious.
We had the best time at Snowvillage Inn for our anniversary! The Inn is a small campus of buildings around the center bar/restaurant with beautiful views. It's super scenic just walking over to dinner. Rooms were cozy and clean. We weren't initially intending to, but we had such a great time at dinner at Max's that we decided to go there a second nice. Staff was very courteous. Oh, and you get free breakfast with your stay. Like, a full, real sitdown breakfast. Not a buffet or continental type deal. The staff also recommended that we head up Foss Mountain (very close by) to watch the sunset. It was awesome! Super easy 1 mile round trip hike with panoramic views towards the Whites and Lakes Region.
We stayed here the weekend of 12/17 to get away from the every day routine and had a phenomenal experience. We even drove through a blizzard to get there! - the room was terrific, great view of the mountains - breakfast - perfection every day - snowshoeing option was a nice touch and we had a blast for a few hours - The owners were very friendly and helpful with recommending things to do and places to visit - Dinner was exceptional, the restaurant on site served great mixed drinks and the menu had great variety. We loved the food as well, everything was perfect. A great blend of romantic and fine dining This is the perfect destination for a getaway, but shopping and restaurants are a short drive away at the same time. We will be back and look forward to it!
We’ve been to the restaurant a number of times over the years. It’s a truly magical experience and a wonderfully small, niche type chef owned restaurant. Quality is everything. However, I wish portion sizes could be upgraded and I gather there’s no accommodating now for vegetarians. Those 2 points aside- I can’t recommend this beautifully unique restaurant enough... If you’re after that special meal, a celebratory occasion or just spoiling your wife / husband etc ... go and give it a try. There’s not enough of these diamonds in the mountains still surviving...
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Max’s Restaurant! To start, the food and drinks are delicious and very high quality! I especially loved the fettuccine, crab cake and warm cider cocktail. The hostess and our waitress were both extremely friendly and polite, making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is extremely cozy and ideal for a romantic dinner — we came during Valentine’s Day weekend and it was perfect for the occasion. I definitely recommend Max’s to anyone looking for a fantastic dinner!
